Specializing in the areas of landscaping and tree care, TIPS offers a full line of services to enhance the beauty of your property, both inside and out.
However the "service" implies just that. The following is a list and brief description of TIPS services:
Landscaping: whether your home is new or old, landscaping by TIPS can add beauty and value to your property. We install only the highest quality, native plants to insure their longevity and natural attractiveness.
Tree Care / Shrub Care: only the highest quality native plants are used to insure health, vigor and survival. We are located in Zone # 4 in regards to plant hardiness, with average minimum temperatures of -30F to -20F. Only those plantings capable of survival in this zone are specified for use. Existing trees and shrubs can be pruned and trimmed to insure safety and health. A Certified Arborist can examine your plantings and provide a detailed, long-term plan for tree maintenance.
Lawn Care / Weed Control: locally supplied and site specific grasses are used to establish and maintain your lawn. Each grass is chosen for this climate with the lowest possible weed percentage to insure a healthy, weed free lawn.
Insect and Pest Spraying: TIPS is a NYS Certified Pest Control applicator. We use the safest chemicals, timed properly to keep your home, cottage, garage or boathouse pest free.
Fertilization: commercial grade fertilizers applied throughout the growing season insure a healthy and green lawn. We also provide control for grubs, as well as weed control with fertilizers. Single tree fertilizing or entire property fertilization for trees is also available.
Gardening and Flowers: prior to your summer arrival, TIPS can have your window boxes, clay pots or garden already established. Greeting you with your favorite colors of flowers is a sure "welcome home".
Property Cleanup: whether it's a spring cleaning of your yard or a multiple acre spruce up, TIPS can restore your entire property to the beauty you've come to expect.
Wood Chipping: a 100 HP brush bandit chipper, capable of handling wood of any length and up to 12" in diameter, makes that "micro-burst" or "ice-storm" debris disappear.
Stump Removal: tired of mowing around that old stump? TIPS can remove the stump below grade, allowing you to re-establish a lawn where the tree had existed.
Garbage and Debris Removal: small dump truck or dumpster service is available to help with your remodeling project, or maybe you'd like your trash and recyclables picked up weekly.
Rototilling: want a garden without the expense of owning that expensive rototiller? We can work up your garden and have it ready for your plants. We can also provide organic materials or cover crops to enhance your soil conditions.
Mulching: TIPS uses the finest hardwood mulch, to not only enhance the beauty of trees , shrubs or planting beds, but to protect your valuable plants against temperature extremes, moisture loss and damage by mowers.
Cleaning (Interior): TIPS can provide you with the "white glove" cleaning service or help you to get your cottage or camp ready for the season.
Contracting Service: window replacement, decks, additions, you name it... TIPS can provide you with the very best craftsmanship and materials.
Construction Management: if you're building a home, renovating your cottage or just need a hand keeping track of all that is involved with a construction project, TIPS is your answer to running an efficient job and taking the pressure off you.
Security System Monitoring: seasonal residents or frequent travelers needn't worry about an alarm going unanswered. TIPS is on call 24-hrs a day to answer your security calls. More than just security monitoring, you can now monitor your home for furnace failure, low temperatures, flooding basements, loss of power, fire, etc. TIPS works closely with STAT communications, which is the only locally answered security systems in our area. TIPS gives you the peace of mind that your home is safe and secure.
Window Washing: TIPS Does Windows! Inside and outside window washing, including screens. You may never have to get on a ladder again.
Spring Openings / Fall Closings: you can be rest assured your home / cottage is winterized without the threat of freeze ups. Upon your return we will re-charge your water system and prepare appliances and plumbing, getting you ready for the season.
Mail and Parcel Pickup: need that shipment before you arrive? TIPS offers you the opportunity to have packages delivered to us, or we can do your daily mail pick up in your absence.
Snow Removal: to insure a safe passage for emergency vehicles or fuel deliveries, TIPS can keep your driveway clear for you. Village residents must also keep sidewalks clear to avoid fines. Monthly contracts or "per-occurrence", TIPS will provide you with snow and ice control.
Airport Shuttle Service: a NYS Licensed Chauffeur can provide you with care free shuttle service to and from Watertown, Syracuse or Ottawa airports.
Party Planning / Staffing: TIPS provides a consulting service for the parties of any size and for any occasion. We will also staff with caterers, waiters, bartenders, whatever you desire.
Bill Paying: seasonal residents may not want to be burdened with the monthly influx of bills from the north country. TIPS can provide you with your own personal bank account and take care of paying electrical, telephone, cable, property taxes, etc.
Continued Site Maintenance: daily, weekly or monthly property checks can be arranged, as well as maintenance of your outside and inside items.
Bobcat (Skid Steer) Service: a bobcat loader with literally dozens of attachments are available. Spreading topsoil, digging ditches, loading debris, you name it. This versatile machine is second to none in completing jobs of all sizes.
Monthly Maintenance Contracts: each service listed or any particular group of services, catered to your individual needs can be available on a monthly service contract. Allowing you to spread out your payments or budget your expenses, to have equal monthly payments.
